Drivedx student driver#
I really need a solution because this is my main driver of my student life and I'm currently working on my Thesis. I've previously (somewhere in April) taken my Mac in for help and they wiped the software and completely reinstalled a fresh version of BigSur and the problem was solved for a day or 2, but then it just kept on persisting. I live in South Africa and we unfortunately don't have proper Apple Stores, we only have iStores with moderate support structures. Which means I can never start up my computer without having it plugged in. but as soon as the battery dips below 90% or so it happens. Whenever my device enters sleep mode a kernel panic report comes up after attempted wake up or sometimes the MacBook tries to start but lingers on a black screen for a minute then a flashing folder pops up.īUT this is where it gets interesting, when my device is plugged into power it never happens, and also when it's fully charged. My MacBook is running Monterey at the moment but even before when it was running BigSur the problem randomly popped up. Hey Guys I hope you will be able to give me some advice about this because it's been concerning me since April. MacBook Pro 2017 (non-touch bar) Kernel Panic when entering sleep. Now I am confused if this is a software issue or a hardware issue, and the system is unusable with the device restarting every 5-10 minutes sometimes. It worked fine after that, but the issue cropped up again immediately after upgrading to 12.5.

etc.įinally, I submitted the device to the service center, they serviced it, cleaned the dust, and ran advancedĭiagnostics available to them. I tried the usuals- resetting the SMC and NVRAM, running diagnostics, running first aid, uninstalling third party apps, doing a clean install. I hoped it would get fixed with 12.1, 12.2, etc., but it didn't. The system would become unresponsive, fans spinning up fast, and then restarting with a kernel panic error message. This continued for several months, where it would restart mostly when idle.
Drivedx student upgrade#
Immediately after the upgrade was finished, the system restarted while it was waiting at the login screen. The issue started in late 2021 after upgrading from BigSur to Monterey. I'm going to post my Etre Check Report here:įrequent restarts with kernel panic errors after upgrading to macOS Monterey 12.5 I have a 2019 16 inch, Core i7, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, 4GB AMD Radeon GPU MacBook Pro. Sometimes it happens when I'm away, then I come back and find the login screen after another restart. The panics happen out of nowhere, they are not associated with high temperature apparently. What else can I do? The techs didn't find anything wrong with the hardware after the replacements. I'm getting worried something will be damaged if it keeps happening this way. Today it restarted 10 times (8 with an error report). I had a kernel panic again from the very first day.
Drivedx student install#
Thought everything would be solved after a clean install with new SSD an battery, but no.
Drivedx student update#
errors (wasn't able to update the system). When it reached this point, I took it to the tech and they found out my battery was swollen (even though I didn't have any issue with the battery) and that I had to replace my SSD that was having S.M.A.R.T. It began with the kernel panics happening one a week, then it got worse and worse until I was barely able to use it. I've been having trouble with my Mac for months.
